Agency to help Cornerhouse ‘Think outside the box’

ORCHARD Street, the specialist commercial property investment manager has appointed Box Property as its joint leasing agent on The Cornerhouse, the East Midlands’ premier leisure scheme, where it will work alongside instructed agent Savills to maintain a dynamic mix of brands in the building.

Located in Nottingham’s bustling city centre, the 200,000 sq ft multi-let development offers a 14-screen IMAX cinema, rooftop bar, Genting casino, nightclub and 12 bar and restaurant units. High profile tenants include the likes of Revolution, Wagamama, Nando’s, Turtle Bay, TGI Fridays and Slug and Lettuce.

The Cornerhouse’s close proximity to prime leisure attractions such as the Theatre Royal and the Concert Hall, as well as city centre student accommodation schemes and Nottingham Trent University ensures it remains a vibrant hub of activity both day and night.

Ben Tebbutt, director of Box Property, said:

“We are delighted to have been instructed on The Cornerhouse, which we believe remains Nottingham’s number one leisure destination, and which, despite its established roots, has untapped potential to be unlocked.

“We are already in discussion with a number of exciting brands and concepts that would be a great addition to both The Cornerhouse and the city itself, and we look forward to utilising our expertise to further improve the customer experience at the centre.”

Paul Nicholson of Orchard Street added:

“We have been impressed with Box Property’s passion and creative ideas, their contacts and breadth of sector knowledge, and we’re looking forward to working with them on our exciting tenant roster moving forward.”

Frankie Labbate, director of Box Property, said:

“We are extremely proud to be retained on arguably the East Midlands’ most successful and admired leisure destination. Despite being well-established, The Cornerhouse has plenty of untapped potential which requires a forward-thinking and open-minded approach to unlock.

“Box Property has been retained on The Cornerhouse for this very reason, with a UK wide presence via our extensive portfolio of clients whom we are acquiring for on a regular basis. Our aim is to deliver on-trend operators and boost excitement about The Cornerhouse.”
