Tilbury Douglas to lead £4.3m Warrington Emergency Department Extension

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has appointed Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fitout company, to lead the construction of the £4.3m Warrington Emergency Department Extension.

To increase capacity, modernise facilities and improve patient care within the Emergency Department, the scheme, which is more than 1,000m2, includes the construction of a two-storey extension of the Appleton Building.

The project, which starts on site late October 2021 with a completion date of Spring 2022, also includes the construction of a gable end on the above building to form extended spaces for waiting, assessment and treatment rooms, as well as new staff rooms and offices.

The project will deliver a Social Value Return on Investment of £1.7m. If you would like to join us in delivering this essential project register for Constructionline’s virtual Meet the Buyer event here: https://lnkd.in/eaWx4hn

Phil Shaw, Divisional Director for the North West at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “As an established contractor with a track record of delivering healthcare schemes of all sizes, we are proud to be leading this project. This is an exciting scheme to be involved with as it is our first project with this Trust, which will further add to our depth of healthcare experience in the North West.”
